ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to audition for Company you must:
- be a Doubletake Dance Studio student
- be taking all 3 classes (ballet, tap & jazz)
- have had at least 2 years of dance experience
 
JUDGING
Judging for Company will be in the following areas:
- dance routines in ballet, tap & jazz
- splits, leaps & turns
- overall technique

- showmanship

- confidence

- be taking a Hip Hop Class
 
JUDGING
Judging for Crew will be in the following areas:
- hip hop dance routine
- overall style & execution

COMPANY AUDITIONS

If you are interested in trying out for our Mini, Junior Prep, Junior, Teen, or Senior Company or our Hip Hop Crew, please come to a very important meeting on Saturday, August 29th at 1:00 pm.  This meeting should last about two hours.

TEEN/SENIOR COMPANIES JUNIOR COMPANY  
(Suggested Ages:  12 & Up) (Suggested Ages:  10-12)  
     
AUDITION PRACTICE DATES AUDITION PRACTICE DATES  
Wednesday - Sept. 9th 7:30-9:00 pm Wednesday - Sept. 16th 5:30-7:00 pm  
Saturday - Sept. 12th 1:00-3:00 pm Saturday - Sept. 19th 1:00-3:00 pm

Sunday - Sept. 13th 1:00 pm Sunday - Sept. 20th 1:00 pm  
     
If you are chosen as a member of Junior, Teen or Senior Company, you will be required to:
  • attend every scheduled class (practices will be on Wednesdays and some weekends)
  • attend weekly ballet technique and leaps & turns classes
  • have good attendance in all regular classes (no more than 3 absences per class per semester)
  • attend all performances
  • purchase all costumes (approx. $90.00 each) & shoes
  • purchase a Company warm up set (approx. $175.00 each)
  • purchase make-up kit (approx. $80.00 each)
  • pay all competition and convention fees
MINI/JUNIOR PREP COMPANIES HIP HOP CREW  
(Suggested Ages:  Mini 6-8, Jr Prep 8-10) (Suggested Ages:  8 & Up)

Wednesday - Sept. 23rd 4:15-5:45 pm Thursday - Oct. 1st 7:45-9:00 pm  
Saturday - Sept. 26th 1:00-3:00pm

If you are chosen as a member of Mini or Jr. Prep Company, you will be required to:

  • attend every scheduled class (practices will be on Wednesdays and some weekends)

  • have good attendance in all regular classes (no more than 3 absences per class per semester)
  • attend all performances
  • purchase all costumes (approx. $90.00 each) & shoes

  • pay all competition and convention fees
  • Jr. Prep Co. Members must also attend a weekly ballet technique class

 

If you are chosen as a member of Hip Hop Crew, you will be required to:

  • attend every scheduled class (practices will be on Thursdays and some weekends)
  • attend all performances
  • purchase all costumes (approx. $90.00 each) & shoes
  • purchase a Company warm up set (approx. $175.00 each)
  • purchase make-up kit (approx. $80.00 each)
  • pay all competition and convention fees

 
The fee for Company and Crew is $25 per month.
 

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP ON THE COMPANY BULLETIN BOARD
& PAY YOUR $20.00 AUDITION FEE
     
***IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PARENTS:
If your child makes a Company, you must be prepared to pay for warm ups, make-up kit, costume deposit, and $100 Booster Club Fee  at the meeting following Auditions.
